This piece is inspired by the tiki necklace that my nana gave to Darren on our first trip to New Zealand in 2022. He then gifted it to me and I wore it on our wedding day.

This piece tells the story of my journey as an immigrant to Canada. I arrived in 2019 and now live in Port Coquitlam with my husband, where I’ve found a sense of home surrounded by some of the best sunsets, mountains and trails. When I think of my time in Canada, I not only think of the magnificent nature, but how it has helped shape me.

Inspired by "A Rose is still a Rose" by Aretha Franklin, this piece was made during a tumultuous time where I was trying to find who I was after a relationship breakdown during COVID. This song got me through a lot. My mum also calls me "babygirl" so it had many meanings to me. It currently hangs in a place of a very good friend of mine.

My very first commission was requested by a friend from Ireland. She remarked that she saw my previous paintings with Octopi and wanted one for herself. She said "make it as weird as possible" and I did. Green goo coming from a planet, an octopus wrapped around the rings and a deep sea diver somehow attached to a whale - and all of this in space? Indeed, it is weird!

A tranquil scene of lilypads on the lake. Inspired by a local lake, I softly blended oil pastels to create a serene atmosphere, inviting the viewer into a calm moment at the water’s edge.

I created this piece for a couple in New Zealand. She loved Dragonflies and wanted a colourful one above the main bed in their rental home.
